Immigrants Control Ordinance,

I attach a note prepared by my

Legal Adviser raising a number of

additional points revealed as a result of

further e amination of the Immigrants

Control Ordinance, 1949.

It is of course realised that some

of these points concern rovisions of the

Ordinance which it might be inconvenient or

embarrassing to amend in presont

circumstances in Hong Kong end, that

consideration of the sug estions made may

therefore have to be deferred for the time

being.
